National Book Critics Circle at Texas Book Festival in Austin

A Litcrawl event with Lev Grossman, Chad Harbach, and Meghan O'Rourke; moderator, Steven G. Kellman; a collaboration with the National Book Critics Circle

Lev Grossman is a senior writer and book critic for Time and the creator of the Time blog, Techland.  He is the author of the novels Warp, Codex, The Magicians, and, most recently, The Magician King. He is a former board member of the National Book Critics Circle.

Chad Harbach is the co-founder and co-editor of n+1 Magazine. His first novel, The Art of Fielding, has just been published by Little, Brown.

Meghan O’Rourke is the author of two new books: The Long Goodbye: A Memoir and Once: Poems. She began her career as one of the youngest editors in the history of The New Yorker and since then has served as culture editor and literary critic for Slate as well as poetry editor and advisory editor for the Paris Review.

Moderator Steven G. Kellman is VP/membership of the NBCC and recipient, in 2007, of the NBCC’s Balakian Citation for Excellence in Reviewing. His books include Redemption: The Life of Henry Roth and The Translingual Imagination. His freelance reviews appear in a variety of publications. He is a professor of comparative literature at the University of Texas at San Antonio.
