Around the World with the NBCC’s Good Reads

NBCC member Chuck Leddy reviews Drew Gilpin Faust’s “This Republic of Suffering,” which was at the top of the nonfiction long-list of the NBCC’s Good Reads in the Barnes & Noble Review.

If you haven’t seen it, check out Alex Ross’s blog/website for “The Rest is Noise,” which landed at #1 on the nonfiction list. It’s a great addition to the book.

In addition to writing novels in verse, Toby Barlow—whose “Sharp Teeth” landed on the poetry list—does a bit of blogging over at Huffington Post.

Haven’t heard of Steve Erickson’s Zeroville? Here’s a nice review by former National Book Award finalist Chris Sorrentino.
