Reminder to NBCC Members: Don’t Forget to Cast Your Ballot for the Best Books of 2011

by admin | Nov-18-2011

It's the time of the year once again where we ask NBCC members to cast their votes for the best books of 2011. If you are an active voting member, you should have received via e-mail a link to cast your vote. Any book that receives votes from 20 percent or more of the NBCC voting membership is automatically included among the NBCC finalists that we will announce on January 21, 2012, in New York City.

A full description of how the NBCC’s awards selection process works and eligibility requirements can be found at http://bookcritics.org/faqs/category/awards/#16. All books nominated must have been published in English in the United States for the first time during 2011 to be eligible for an NBCC award. You may vote for up to five titles in each category--autobiography, biography, criticism, fiction, nonfiction, and poetry--and your votes must be received by December 15, 2011. You must be a voting member of the NBCC to nominate books for the NBCC book awards.

Full voting members of the NBCC should receive an e-mail containing instructions on how to vote and a link to the ballot. If you are an active member with full voting privileges and did not receive a ballot in your e-mail, contact us at membership@bookcritics.org.
